When applications open, they are accepted year-round and reviewed at three Gate 0 windows a year, timed to the SpaceWERX STTR cycle. Where an STTR applies, a team should be ready to submit a Phase I proposal after the first month. Texas teams pursue STTR only. SBIRs are used in Colorado.
